Friday Night

My weather app rarely lies, Cassandra thought. She then proceeded to get comfortable on her couch with her best snuggle blanket.

To warm up, she had a cup of hot chocolate. She also had a party-size pack of potato crisps and a bottle of wine for later, which she hoped she wouldn’t finish.

friday-nightIt was her kind of Friday night – stormy, with lightning and thunder. So, like most young women her age, she was going to have a quiet and relaxed evening at home, alone, watching movies on Netflix.

As she did every Friday night before, unlike many young women her age.

Cinderella Stories

With today’s fiction done (me taking a shortcut and managing only a flash fiction, which I hope isn’t so bad), don’t forget our Cinderella Anthology Project. We are looking forward to your Cinderella stories. I, personally, am excited to read your take on this classic.

Click here to read my first attempt on this, and here for Theresa’s and here for Bianca’s.

Do let me know what you think.

Much love and hugs xxx

  1. Anne! I LIKE this, and especially the last line. You give us such a good feeling of mood, with the hot chocolate, potato crisps and wine (for later, he he). 🙂 Thanks for posting the reminder about our Cinderella anthology project!

    1. Ah, thank you, thank you so much, Theresa. I’m slowly getting into the rhythm of flash fiction. I think practice will definitely improve my work. 😊
Another awesome writer, a South African fantasy / folklore writer, will do post her Cinderella story on Sunday. Yay! 💖🤗
