A writer, a life, a city

2020.001 – Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Oh, and happy new decade! Time flies…

May 2020 be a year of abundance. I wish us all love, bliss, peace, success, good health and wealth.

Numerous messages were sent to family members, friends and acquaintances. Above is the best I received and I shared it with many special people in my circle. I wish everyone all that for 2020.

I disappeared for a bit… again. I’m sorry. I am back… again. I am positive about 2020. I am.challenging myself. I resolve to be a writer as much as I am an accountant.

As I began to rearrange the two cereal boxes in the pantry (they were on the right hand side) so that they (the front part) were both facing left, I had a passing thought. What if my new year’s resolution includes me being less obsessive compulsive and less of a neat-freak? As I said, it was a passing thought. It left as soon as it arrived.

I am not a “new-year’s-resolution” person. I strongly believe for many years now that if I really want to change something or to be a better version of myself, I can do so anytime. However, it occurred to me that I have not been very successful in doing so, and if I keep doing the same thing but expect a different result, then I’m just insane. I am slightly insane… or a lot… but that’s beside the point. So, I decided to have a resolution for 2020. I will still be OC though.

I decided on the following resolutions:
1. Recognize reasons to be grateful and practice gratitude.
2. Recognize the joy and fill each day with laughter.
3. Recognize [my] true worth and act accordingly, but with kindness, even if it starts by being less deprecating.
4. Be fit and lose the fats by eating healthy and leading an active lifestyle, exercise included.
5. Write every day.
6. No new debts.

All of the above are going to push me outside of my comfort zone. Being in a new zone might be exactly what I need.

Today, I am grateful for this new day spent mostly relaxing in bed with my little princess. I had checked out our RCI accommodation options for our April vacation in the US. I had a McDonald’s breakfast in bed courtesy of hubby who had gone out of the house early today. Later on, we went out for supper. I am now back in bed, having my mug of coffee, on my mobile phone, finishing this blog post.

What about you? What do you appreciate today?

Do you have a new year’s resolution?

Much love and hugs to you.
