Often in the past I reveled
In the merriment of people
In a world filled with colors
Buzzing with cheers, laughter, chatters
And I feared only what I could or might see
Around me, not too far ahead of me
Till the year, the decade, as we know it
Bade farewell and the new is ushered in
Now I dread the unseen, invisible enemy
Concerned I could be part of the fatality
Alas, in the silence of my own company
Comfort, too, is felt, as much as worry
Inexplicable, yet welcomed
In my heart is quiet joy, peace, blissful calm
