Finding Joy II: On the edge of sanity

September 20, 2017September 19, 2019 Anne J.4 Comments

Sometimes, it really is fine to let life get to me. Then, just let it be. It is okay to allow frustration and anxiety to overwhelm my entire being. It is all right to feel my brain on the brink of explosion… that it can no longer organize information for others (so they may just…… Continue reading Finding Joy II: On the edge of sanity

Anticipating Spring

August 1, 2017August 2, 2017 Anne J.7 Comments

As I get ready for bed at the end of the first day of the last month of winter, I can’t help but feel as though the month of July was not only the month I was least creative but also the time I allowed myself to get lost and even bask in the glory…… Continue reading Anticipating Spring

Sick in limbo

June 9, 2017June 10, 2017 Anne J.11 Comments

Sometimes, I wish someone will just appear, out of nowhere even, and give me the magic potion that will cure my ailments and keep them away from me for years! I don’t write about what I’m going to write now because I am fully aware of the [over]sensitivity of some people or groups of people.…… Continue reading Sick in limbo

Not that I will again resort to self-harm when overwhelmingly stressed; been there, done that, I have the scars.

A bit about me

Anne J.

Anne J.

I'm a Philippine island girl in Africa, a Filipino-South African. A mad banana woman that I am, I live "la vida loca". The banana part isn’t only because I'm Anna (Banana) but because an old boyfriend had observed that although Asian (yellow on the outside) I'm very much Caucasian in my way of thinking (white in the inside) and my actions, too. It's a rather accurate observation. I am that liberal-thinking and modern-acting Filipino... I remain my tragic-comedic self with a day job in slightly more serious field of Finance, Business Operations and Corporate Affairs.

Hello! ❤😁💖
Merry Christmas!
I have always known I have a great love for horses, but I was scared. Don't let fear keep you away from what you love.

When you're a Filipino in South Africa, Thanksgiving dinner may look like this... (because it really isn't Thanksgiving Day for us)
I'm certain I have often heard (or read) that once you have the pen you consider precious, the writing will come...
Our youth is for making memories to remember.
